WHOsdays; The Cybermen!

The Cybermen

The Cybermen are among the coolest of Doctor Who's enemies. They're kinda like the Borg, although they actually appeared first. And they're a lot shinier.

Update! I got a comment mentioning the Series 5 version of the Cybermen with the new logo, so I put these together as well;

On another note, a creative Springfield Punx reader named Andy got inspired and drew his version of all 11 Doctors in Simpsons style! Click the image below to visit his deviantart page and let him know what you think.

    1. Doctor Who is for everyone. I would be glad if any of my fandoms that used to be country-specific would spread to a different country.

  5. Dear Anonymous: I think most Americans know it is an English thing. It's rather hard to deny that fact when the vast majority of characters have an English accent. It doesn't mean we can't enjoy it as well. If that's your attitude, kindly stop watching our movies that come out of Hollywood. It's an AMERICAN thing.

  6. Dear Anonymous I feel your pain on an entirly different subject RE:Harry Potter, But this is Fan artwork it has nothing to do with the actual creators of the simpsons if you want to moan about DR Who being americanised direct your attention to the crappy movies (Peter Crushing & Paul McGann)

  7. Actually, it's a British thing. Two of the actors were Scottish.

  8. I'm glad you finally did the cybermen. My only slight problem is the leg (thigh) proportions are a bit off.

Also I'm surprised you didn't do a season 5 version with the different chest logo.

Good effort anyway, I'd like to see you're own version of the 11 doctors.

  9. @Scoobie: Not to mention that most of the Eccleston/Tennant eps were filmed in Cardiff.

  10. Wow great Cybermen.... not so great comments.... I would love to apologise to you on behalf of the idiot who wants to claim or reclaim DR WHO for the british . DOES IT MATTER !! I know that K9 has been kidnapped by the Australians and Torchwood is going to the States, but a time lord traveling around in a old style police box who dresses as a uk english teacher (matt smith) will always be thought of as a ever so strange English Gentleman. Ok James Bond will always be a Brit (played by a Brit, Capt Kirk will always be an american( played by A Yank), Capt Piccard will always be french... played by a Brit !!! Oh dear what will the froggies think of that. ) I have my doubts that Mr Spook really was a Vulcan ..... And Finally please don't diss the 1960's films... As I visited the set as a small boy, and those Daleks were great. and "Uncle Peter" was a very nice man too.

Keep up the scribbling old boy... Cheerio Noel9

ps) did anyone see JO GRANT's (katy Manning) return to the DR WHO universe this week. Great idea, shame that her face was more scarey the the aliens. For those who don't know, Jo Grant travelled with the 3rd Doctor in the 1970's ( and got sacked by the BBC for posing nude with a Dalek ) I hear the Dalek is still having councilling ... Ok Dean what about Punxing That Picture !!!!!

  11. Thanks for that comment Anon. I hope Brits take it as a compliment that people around the world find DW engaging.

Also in my defense (I'm not American myself) Canada has had a long relationship with Doctor Who involving the CBC, plus Sydney Newman (a Canadian) was responsible for initiating the show in the 60's and creating much of its world.

  13. James Bond is British? What about Pierce Brosnan, the Irishman born in Navan?

Doctor Who is as British as you can get. The only 'English' thing about it is the language. Police Boxes were spread throughout the UK, some still remaining in Scotland, especially in Glasgow. As George said, it's produced by BBC Wales in Cardiff, and to comment on an 'English Teacher outfit' for Matt Smith is just utterly ridiculous. I can vouch for lots of teachers in Northern Ireland with equal, if not worse, dress sense than that. Nothing English about it.

  14. All these comments about Nationality and who owns the Doctor. Does it matter if Dr Who is filmed in Wales as it was cheeper and easier to do so. Does it matter if Dr Matt dresses like a school teacher, English , French, Latin or R.E ,,,, does it matter if a James Bond was Irish, who was first famous for playing a English Gentlemen on US TV in the past... Every one knows that Police Boxes were all over the country ( and by the way the scotish ones are slightly different. ) less panels on the side. (if you don.t believe me look that up ) So NOT really Tardis or is that Tardi .... COME ON PUNX FANS... ALL THAT MATTERS IS THE ART. And Dean keep it coming.

Can't wait for next whosday ( and the comments too )

  15. Your artwork is always amazing. I hope you do the other Doctor's too because that other person's you liked too just doesn't compare.

  16. "Capt Kirk will always be an american( played by A Yank)"

Is "Yank" a British colloquialism for Canadian? 'Cause The Shat is Canadian.

Also, any chance of some Torchwood characters?
